Jack and Cara’s dream wedding was to take place on April 25th 2020. They were to be married at a country club in Flagstaff with an outdoor ceremony filled with the brightest spring blooms and a luxurious indoor reception surrounded by their friends and family. Things changed very quickly for this beautiful couple. Our bride’s father has lung complications and due to the Coronavirus, he couldn’t risk being at the wedding. On March 22, 2020 J & C held an intimate, 5 person ceremony at their family’s private estate in Paradise Valley and live-streamed the ceremony for their friends and family to witness.
Graciously, this incredible couple still allowed us to be a part of their special day. I filled the ceremony installation with spring blooms of the most joyful yellows, oranges, and pinks. Going a little extra, their ceremony was spilling over with ranunculus, roses, snap dragons, sweet peas, carnations, stock, rice flower, spray roses and poppies. Given all of the cancellations and postponed weddings, I had never been more grateful for the ability to create, especially for a couple so driven by love during a time that’s so strange and heartbreaking. Cara’s bouquet was created as an ode to the dutch masters that have brought me so much joy and inspiration over the years in hopes that my creation would do the same for her on her wedding day. Complete with purell and prosecco, Jack and Cara’s intimate spring wedding was a day filled with beauty and the most exquisite spring blooms. It was joyful and cheery despite the strangeness of COVID-19 and I am so grateful for the opportunity to see such hope.
